Padmakar Santape is a senior contemporary artist born in 1960 in Nagpur, Marahashtra. He studied Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting which he obtained in 1988. Santape tries to create the atmosphere of peace, happiness and problemsolving through his art. He has participated in many solo shows held at Taj Art Gallery and Designscape Gallery, Mumbai. He has many achievements and awards to his credit which include Bharat Bhavan Scholarship, Bhopal, 1991, honors at South Central Zone Cultural Center Nagpur, 1995, Research Grant by Lalit Kala Akademy New Delhi, 1994-95 and Government of India Fellowship, New Delhi, 1998-2001 etc.
