Born in Nagpur in 1960, Padmakar Santape is an acclaimed contemporary artist whose distinct style has won widespread admiration. After earning his BFA in Painting in 1988, he pioneered a signature technique overlaying rice paper over oil, bringing unique texture and depth to his canvases. Santape’s celebrated career features solo exhibitions at premier venues like Mumbai's Taj Art Gallery and New Delhi's Bank of America. A recipient of a Lalit Kala Akademi Research Grant and a Government of India Fellowship, his work is held in prestigious public and corporate collections.
