Ram Sutar is a distinguished sculptor born in the village of Gondur, Maharashtra. He is a gold medalist from J.J. School of Art, Bombay.His medium includes bronze. He designed the Statue of Unity, the world's tallest statue. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016. His bust of Mahatma Gandhi is highly acclaimed and appreciated.
