Description

Ravi Kumar Chaurasiya was born in 1994 in Uttar Pradesh. He studied Bachelor of Fine Arts at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Master of Fine Arts at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His works primarily are based on changes that takes place in the environment creating imbalance in biodiversity which is result of human activities and over-population. There is usage of mixed media in his works that consists of oil, watercolours, charcoal, graphite, acrylic etc. In his recent works, he has also started experimenting with the dry pigments. Chaurasiya’s style is based on the multi-dimensional approach and he expresses the contemporary issues and struggles of the world and existing communities. He is one of the awardees of Ravi Jain Memorial organised in 2017 at Dhoomimal Art Gallery, New Delhi. One of the solo shows that exhibited the works of Ravi was held in 2022 and was called as ‘Around the present living Hope’ supported by RAZA foundation and held at Triveni Art Gallery, New Delhi.
