V.S. Adurkar:
Adurkar was an artist cum educationist whose works found a place of pride both at home and abroad and belongs to the early school of academic realism. Adurkar had a penchant for the scenic while being a serious water colorist too. He headed the Sir J.J. School of Art for quite a while till his retirement and many of the stalwarts including the progressives studied under him.
