Sachida Nagdev:
Born in 1940, his early interest in art was sparked by both the great architectural and cultural heritage of his state, as well as the urban act that surrounded him. At the tender age of nine, Nagdev was obtaining informal training in painting from local signboard painters in Ujjain, having begged them to show him how they worked. Nagdev has held more than 30 one-man exhibitions in most major cities in India and in France, Germany and Japan. He lives and works in Bhopal.
