Biman Bihari Das (b. 1943) is a master sculptor in the Indian art scene, working across bronze, terracotta, wood, and stone. He has built a massive body of work. Das's choice of subject matter, style, and technique is deeply shaped by his childhood memories and experiences throughout his five-decade career. He was awarded the 'Kala Vibhushan' by AIFACS in 2001 and was later honoured with the prestigious 'Padma Shri' award by the Government of India in 2014.
