Biman Bihari Das (b.1943) is a master sculptor in Indian art scene, working across bronze, terracotta, wood, and stone, he has built a massive body of work. Das’s choice of subject matter, style, and technique is deeply shaped by his childhood memories and experiences in his five decade career. He was awarded the 'Kala Vibhushan' by AIFACS in 2001 and was later honored with the prestigious 'Padma Shri' award by the Government of India in 2014.
