Born in Indore in 1955, Parvez Ahmed abandoned a science track for art, a passion sparked early by drawing biology diagrams for his siblings. While he began with landscapes, Ahmed soon found his forte in abstraction, developing a signature style defined by multi-layered, vibrant colors that celebrate Indian tradition and vigor. A deeply spiritual artist, Ahmed weaves the Islamic concept of formlessness and a singular, supreme truth into his canvases. Through a harmonious interplay of color and shape, his work captures nature’s quest for order amidst flux, offering a unified, continuous vision of the world. Today, Ahmed continues to live and work in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
