Inspired by Souza, Picasso, and Basquiat, Pallav Chanderâs autobiographical art uses thick, contrasting layers to challenge visual expectations. Heavily influenced by Rauschenberg, his work reflects both contemporary society and a deep self-analysis driven by child-like curiosity. Born in New Delhi in 1990, Chander studied painting at Birmingham City University, UK, drawing rich creative depth from his background in theater. The recipient of a 2019 Ministry of Culture Junior Fellowship, his notable solo shows include Decoding A Dyslexic Mind (2014). Chanderâs internationally collected works adorn walls from India to the US and Turkey, and are housed in prestigious institutions including the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and the Alkazi Foundation.
