Born in Visakhapatnam in 1975, MSC Satya Sai earned his BFA from JNTU, Hyderabad, and an MFA from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Working across painting, photography, digital, and mixed media, Satya Sai draws inspiration from his real-life encounters in Indian metropolises. He reinterprets these urban experiences into photo-representational compositions, bringing indigenous and iconic imagery to life through a highly symbolic, deliberate use of materials and colors. The runner up of Bose Pacia Emerging Artist Award and winner of Ravi Jain Memorial, AIFACS, and Hyderabad Art Society awards, he was also commissioned by Virgin Atlantic Airways to make a commemorative painting for their flight operations planning symposium.
