Vasundhara Tewari Broota
Vasundhara Tewari Broota was born in Kolkata in 1955 and studied literature from University of Delhi. She also studied art at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi under renowned artist Rameshwar Broota who she later married. She mostly makes figurative paintings of the female body. She was awarded a cultural scholarship by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, 1982-84 and senior fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, 1996-1998. Her works are now part of distinguished national and international institutions like, NGMA, New Delhi; Peabody Museum, USA; Tehran Museum of Art, Iran; MOMA San Francisco; and many more.
